The greatest
single influence in art throughout the ages the human form.
Like most
who are involved with this subject, it pleases us to be able to share
- in our own way - the interests of the early Greek and Roman sculptors
and the classical painters such as Michelangelo, Rubens and Raphael.
More recent work of photographers like Robert Mapplethorpe, Herb Ritz
and Horst P Horst, is also inspirational and destined to rank amongst
the classics of the future.
Our studies
in this field must go beyond glamour and be respectful of the human
form, for all that we perceive it to be. We observe the classical rules
in our work and in return we are achieving authoritative admiration
and respect for the images we produce. Importantly, it is not by using
professional models that we achieve this, but with clients who see that
they can legitimately participate in this work and feel happy about
doing so.
The unclothed
or classically draped human figure presents us with infinite possibilities
for creative image making. The beautiful flow of soft light and shadow
over the human body transforms it, through photography, into an image
of rich monochrome tones. This essential transformation into Black and
White lifts the image, from one of coloured reality, into an art form
of monochrome unreality and fantasy - timeless and ageless.
